The first World Alternative Robotics Competition was held in Freetown, Sierra Leone on July 19th 2008 @ 10:00 AM at the Miatta Conference Hall, Brookfields, Freetown, Sierra Leone, under the auspices of Refsta Inc. Education Consortium and Reffell Friendship Memorial School. The event was a great success and was lauded by the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation as the first of its kind. The number of schools expressing interest to participate in the next competition has doubled since the event. Our thanks and appreciation goes to William Lehman, Director of Technology Education at Refsta, and to Prince Massala Reffell, President of the Organization. Our thanks also goes to Pearl Reffell and Daisy Gilpin of Reffell Friendship Memorial School in Sierra Leone. Please donate to the completion of Reffell Technology High School in Sierra Leone in terms of materials and supplies. Refsta is looking for donation and sponsorship for the implementation of WARC-2009 – 2010 school year. |
